To Do: Make your Own Pillows

I do not sew well. The patience required for careful measuring is not something I have. Thankfully, Margaret came over to help with the whole "measure twice, cut once" thing.

Between the two of us, we took four old, sunbleached curtains and four Ikea fillers and made a set of lovely velvet pillows for the day bed. I really like how the blue velvet breaks up the contrast between the black bedding and white frame.

can you tell us about the floors in your new apartment? Are they painted cement?

Yep - painted cement. But not all that cold thanks to the storage floor beneath us.
