To Do: Downton Abbey

I don't have regular TV, just hulu, so this one almost passed by my radar. Luckily, mom sent me the link yesterday! Masterpiece Theater has a new upstairs, downstairs-style show called Downton Abbey and it looks marvelous!

Ack, I don't have any free time to watch until the weekend. Torture!

It was way good. I suggest a Sunday morning viewing w/ some coffee and a yum breaky.

I just happened to flip to PBS on Sunday night right when the show began. My husband and I were addicted to the storyline in about 20 minutes. Can't wait for next week!

Same here...I havent had television in nearly 3 years, just Netflix and Hulu. My mother also keeps me up to date on things she thinks I might enjoy and I watch games either "out" or at friends houses. At a savings of almost $4k, its completely worth not having tv!

If youve mentioned it already and I missed it (I rarely comment these days), I apologize...but I think you would really enjoy "The Kings Speech" with Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush!

Ah, I saw this in the autumn on British TV and enjoyed it very much; they just repeated it over the New Year, as it's been so popular!
So did you know there is a new 3-part Upstairs Downstairs just been shown at Christmas on British TV?! Everyone is hoping there will be full follow-up series...
If you like this kind of thing, and more in the Downton style than Upstairs Downstairs, you will love the book/audiobook of Ken Follett's Fall of Giants, which is very similar - bet they film that some time, too, as they just filmed Pillars of the Earth (a GB/D production). Even my husband has started enjoying these ;))

I looked for this on hulu but not yet available. Or did you just watch on the pbs website? I recently gave up cable but hulu and roku are still very new to me. Any advice would be great.

Thanks
