Advent Calendar: December 21

Amidst all the giving, a little "getting" can be fun too. Margaret came over last night with my Christmas gift - a beautiful red Le Cruset oval.

But, I don't know any dutch oven recipes yet. Do you have a favorite?

  3. I'm so jealous! I don't have one so I can't give my favorite recipe, but I can't wait until I do have one to make some homemade bread in it.

  7. I got one a few years back and I LOVE it. I use it for osso bucco, stews, soups. Everything just tastes better when I use it:)

  8. We received a couple as wedding gifts (different sizes) and you can do stews, chicken, risotto...a lot of slow-cook recipes. The William-Sonoma website has some, or you can pick up their slow cooker cookbook (I swear I don't work for W-S) and go crazy. We've been having a great time experimenting - have fun!
