Inspired: Downton Abbey

I've watched 4 and half hours of Downton Abbey online and am completely hooked. Not as much with the plot - which is SO gossipy and some of the characters are SO mean - but with sets and costumes. I'm ready to go completely gossamer, lace and beading for spring.

This site has tons of photos for inspiration.

  2. I totally agree with your comment about it being gossipy -- it is a little much for me at times in keeping with the period. But I love it nonetheless. Thanks for the tip a couple weeks ago!

  3. Love it! I missed episode 2 and was pannicked about how I was going to make it up (DVR, how could you let me down?). Thank you!

BTW - I totally love your book recommendations. If you like English novels, you should try the Maisie Dobbs series. It's a series about a young English girl in post WWI London who moves up from the streets to become an educated but very intuitive detective. I love them!

I too would like to recommend the Maisie Dobbs books, they are great! Nerdy as I am, I particularly like the way her clothes are described, I can really picture them and feel their texture!
