I've now got the hang of making these classic bracelets from embroidery floss. Rob's wearing the first one - in brown and blue - and Margaret has the second - in pink and orange. The HonestlyWTF instructions are easy to follow, once you get started. Having the thread taped down firmly on a board is a major help.

ReplyDeleteThe secret, from my camp days in the 80s, is a clipboard. You can clip the string under the metal thing and take it with you.

ReplyDeleteAnd I used to safety-pin one to my (often double-layered, brightly colored) socks for the perfect sitting-cross-legged tying station. Clipboards are brilliant. This feels like such a blast from the past to me!
