
The second mistake was caused by the packaging of sour cream and cottage cheese being identical. I bought a huge container of what I thought was cottage cheese last night and didn't realize it was sour cream until I dug in my fork. Darn it! What am I going to do with all this sour cream? Here are some ideas:
- Black bean and turkey tacos - It's on the menu for tonight's post-kickball dinner. This is approximately where I run out of ideas for using sour cream and start looking online
- Sour cream and lemon poundcake - That sounds pretty tasty. Maybe with some fresh strawberries.
- Roasted squash, red pepper and jack cheese quesadillas with chipotle lime sour cream - Overkill? You bet! But it is Cinco de May after all.
- Blini with sour cream and caviar - Heaven forbid that I throw out the sour cream. I'll just have to buy some caviar instead.
