Help! South of France in November

An opportunity with Rob's work means that we can spend the first half of November in the South of France! I think we'll fly into Nice - where should we go from there? Cassis? Aix-en-Provence? Bruniquel? Send me your best recommendations - we only have a few days to plan.

  1. If you're flying into Nice it's worth spending a few hours in Monaco--if I remember correctly, it's only about half an hour drive away

  2. Look into the Dordogne (Perigord) region. Seriously one of the most beautiful/magical places I've been in France. Fairytale-like towns and castles, great food, amazing scenery, ancient caves with drawings, and this incredible garden: http://www.marqueyssac.com/ Spectacular!

  3. You HAVE to go to the Village of Eze and also Monaco.

  4. Monoco is so fun -- you dont need much time there. Provence and Cassis are great too. I love Nice and make sure you go to the Chagall museum.

Agree with Stephanie, Perigord is just amazing! And now during the fall you can get some really good young wines, and spectacular food, try everything with truffels and chestnuts
